These Terms govern your use of Lumotraq's browser extension, web application, and website (the "Service"), operated by Jovica Petrovic, Hetzgasse 20/4, 1030 Vienna, Austria. By installing the extension or creating an account you agree to these terms.
Lumotraq is a free browser extension and web application that estimates the carbon footprint of digital advertising. The Service is provided in an early-access phase; features and availability may change.
Dashboard features require an account, which you may create using email or a supported third-party provider. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
— reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the extension or application
— use the Service to collect data about other users
— interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure
— use the Service for any unlawful purpose
— redistribute or resell data obtained through the Service
All content, code, methodology, and branding of the Service belong to Lumotraq. The detection methodology and emission factors are proprietary. You may not copy or redistribute any part of the Service without written consent.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The extension processes data locally by default. Data is transmitted to our servers only if you create an account and opt in to sync.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CO₂ estimates are approximations based on research and proprietary models — not certified measurements in general. To the extent permitted by Austrian law, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Use of this Service requires the user to be at least 16 years of age, or the minimum age of digital consent in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Minors require parental or guardian consent. The Service is intended for personal and professional use; automated scraping or unauthorized commercial redistribution is prohibited.
We may suspend or terminate access in cases of breach of these Terms, suspected misuse, or where required by law, with reasonable prior notice unless the breach is severe or law mandates immediate action. Users may terminate at any time by uninstalling the extension and requesting account deletion at privacy@lumotraq.com. Provisions on intellectual property, liability limitation, and governing law survive termination.
